I grew up on a farm in southwest Saskatchewan and I love the rolling prairies, large landscapes and all the wildlife, but my images are not that traditional. Most pictures are a mix of exposures, in camera motion blur, other photos or paintings I have done. The result, I hope, is something unordinary and ethereal.

I want to take things a step further with unique textures for the finished product. I can achieve that by printing direct to bamboo, aluminum or birch panels. Brushed aluminum provides a glint and sheen while bamboo and birch have interesting grain and warmth.

I am also using environmentally friendly processes. The printing direct to bamboo or aluminum  is done with low VOC UV cured inks that are archival and  do not require framing or glass. When printing to  paper I am using bamboo or cotton fine art paper. Cotton paper is made from the waste of processing cotton for fabric and the bamboo paper is harvested from sustainable resources. (Read more about the variety of products here). Paper prints will degrade over time and to counteract that the prints have been protected with fine art archival UV spray,  wax or varnish, depending on the desired finish. I have just started experimenting with reclaimed wood.

I live in Calgary, Alberta now with my two kids, two dogs, and a cat.

Pictures in the Galleries are available for sale as prints or can be custom printed direct to bamboo, aluminum, or birch.
